Batela and Tantä Rainwear are proud that they can demonstrate through the OEKO-TEX certificate that they produce sustainably and consciously.
Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is a textile testing and certification system. The standard focuses on limiting the use of harmful substances in relation to the health of the end user.
Although the label is therefore focused on health aspects of the textile product, the guidelines for the use of harmful substances also have interfaces with the ecological dimension of sustainability.
What is OEKO-TEX?
In principle, Oeko-Tex Standard 100 can be used in various chain links, it depends on whether raw materials or end products are tested and certified.
The certificate is administered by the International Oeko-Tex Association. Institutes are affiliated to the International Association for Research and Testing in the Field of Textile Ecology (Oeko-Tex) that test whether products meet the criteria.
